Ok now that the earth has settled down, which earthquake do you remember the most and why? I remember the Northridge quake the most. I was clocking in at work about 4:34 am when it hit. I distinctly remember looking at the other guys milling around and we all said hey we are having an EQ. And there is a moment when you realize that the ground is still shaking. You have time to think that this is going on for a long time now. And then the fear that this could actually be the BIG ONE. Allof that happened at the time clock. When we all ran outside the tall chain link fence around the parking lot was swaying at least 4 feet from side to side. The ground seemed to be moving the rest of the day. And damage reports coming across the tv lasted for days. Most of California survived that quake but you wouldnt have known it watching TV. LOL. They only show the worst damage. Thankfully all of my memories of quakes at the personal level involve just the shaking. Have never had any damage from a quake.
