Ok, ok, I give in. Thanks for messaging me numbers peeps. 1. These types of lists stress me out. I know that my answers will be different tomorrow and would’ve been yesterday so I fear this is a misrepresentation with potential regret. 2. My parents first sent me out of the country without them when I was 8 years old. (I was with a group.) I’ve since been to about 20+ countries. 3. While I LOVE to travel to new places (and old ones too), I fear flying. This stems from 2 bad experiences – one being an emergency landing in grass in New Zealand. 4. My first job was sewing/repairing oriental rugs at my grandfather & uncle’s rug store. I sat for hours on end many summers in a row chatting with my brother as we sewed. I believe it to be one of the reasons we’re so close. 5. I’m constantly learning about food and watching documentaries regarding food. Right now, “Forks and Knives” has us contemplating veganism and we are currently trying vegan recipes this weekend. 6. I have been blessed to experience natural births (no meds, but in a hospital) multiple times. It was empowering and the best miracle I’ve ever experienced. 7. I cry every time I hear the song “No One Will Ever Love You” and many other songs with T-Bone Burnett and Buddy Miller touches. I have a dream and loose plan of starting a band (in all my free time) with my talented buddies Andrew Camp and Seth Cook called Sideshow to write/play in this style. 8. I can beat the original Super Mario with OR without using warp zones. 9. I am a binge reader. I will stay up all night if I get too wrapped up in a good book. 10. I am addicted to the shows “Nashville” and “Revenge”. I wish I could get to the end of the shows now bc I’m getting too emotionally involved in these people. What are they doing the whole week in between episodes? See? 11. If I got a call from Sara Bareilles, Carrie Underwood, Sting, Alison Krauss or Patty Griffin, I would drop about anything to go on tour singing bgvs. And I already know the parts as if the phone is about to ring. Ha! 12. I love Ari Hest’s music and “The Fire Plays” has shaped my songwriting more than any other music this year. I’ve even considered the name “Ari” if we ever have another boy. 13. I’ve always wanted a bday cake made out of French fries bc I’m more of a savory than sweet person. This year my mom made me one.
