Ok, ok. I know Ive been quite the busy FB posting person today BUT.... I absolutely MUST share this with yall.... Addys feeding button needs changed. I called to order a new one, the company no longer accepts her insurance. I make a few more calls, have numerous conversations about how we have not used it in months. Nurses call doctors, specialists and so on to discuss. I just got off the phone with a nurse who gave me the name and number of a doctor to call to talk about the minor surgical procedure to REMOVE THE FEEDING TUBE AND CLOSE THE HOLE!! Now, we all know how hard we have worked to get to this point. I am excited, sad, and highly nervous about all this! We have depended on this for so long and even though it is no longer used, it is very much so a huge part of our lives. Mainly Addys life and body, but all the care and maintenance we have given this kind of makes it a huge part of us as well. So I am about to take that giant leap and call to make an appointment for a surgical consultation for feeding tube removal. I almost cant believe this is really happening!!
