Ok part 2!! Today was the three year anniversary of my first job layoff. Because of that I knew it was going to be memorable. It was a perfect day to run a marathon for the first time for that reason alone. Of course there is always a back story to these runs. I asked God for strength during the race and he provided it in the form of Ann who was running by me at mile 4 and who finished with me. She is an ER doctor from Wyoming who entered med school at age 40. She is now 62 and she also happens to be Catholic. Her and I talked about so many things and the miles flew by and we just encouraged each other! It was so unexpected and I just could see HIS presence through her. Today I learned that HE provides when I ask and this career journey I am on now was predestined by him. He tore my other jobs down to give me something better. It is up to me to run the miles and continue on.
