Ok peeps. I officially have a project And by that I mean my heart has truly been touched this morning! I met a girl... 19 .. One of those kids that are not from here but go door to door with a smile on their face regardless if you say no to what they are selling. Just months ago she was living outside the alley of a gas station homeless and was raped. She is now carrying the child and intends on keeping it. A man saw her and told her he had work for her... And Lo and behold it is selling this cleaner. Now... I believe this gentleman did her a favor.. He says he used to be homeless too and came up with this product and instead of selling it in stores he allows kids to get off the streets by selling this. Great right? Hmmm not so much in my eyes. Each bottle is 40$ and the kids get 8$ which is great if they sell a lot. They are told if they dont sell more than 6 a day they are weak and lazy. I feel as though this man is enslaving these kids to a point. They are thankful he helped them.. But then they owe him. After talking with her outside where it was cold I finally asked if she would like some hot chocolate .. And then I just fed her lol and had a long talk with her. She wants to go to graphic design school and loves psychology with children! Wants to go to school in New York one day. One of the most beautiful hearts I have seen in a very long time! We discussed how she could get a job and work 40 hours a week and make more than walking 7-8 or more hours a day getting guns pulled on her and worse.(and yes this has happened) her only concern is if she leaves this company which puts them up on a hotel in different cities during work... That she knows she can work but no where to stay? I need ideas??? Grants? Housing?? If you no someone to help? I am going to keep in touch with her and have invited her and her roommate to thanksgiving . I would love to help this girl have a Christmas she will never forget! Ideas!! Please!! And if you have something negative to say just keep it to yourself! I can work on this without the negativity.:) I prayed with her before she left and packed her grapes and apples to take back to the hotel room. You have never seen someone light up so much for grapes! Can you help??
