Ok, photographer friends, here comes another rant. Just got off the phone w/ a rep from Wedding Wire. Did you know we pay more for advertising because of our category? We pay $200 more than DJs because we yield a higher revenue. Bahahahahahaha. Yeah, DJs dont sit in their offices 20-40+ additional hours per job, editing proofs and albums and blog entries and social media, etc. DJs also dont spend the time and money to advertise OTHER vendors. We send florists, DJs, venues, boutiques, etc. images for THEM to use in their promotional materials. Photographers are essentially doing work for them in hopes they will refer us. Time is money. And last I checked, DJs have more revenue there. (insert expletive).
