Ok post 1 I think or is it 2 oh well when you get my age 1or2 Well we arose early and the cold was rising and when I arose around 7:00 the temp inside was a pleasant 70*. I had just been up at 5:00 to load up the stove again for the 2nd time and was sleeping soundly when sweety said times up. And God is good. I scurried around found my aids and checked the stove and it was doing fine. Seleney did the coffee and had purchased more Mini Hostess powdered donuts and I ate a few with my brew. With more snow all things have been canceled so today is a lay around day and do much of nothing day a lazy day. I forgot to take my pills and trusty Tylenol till this afternoon. not good. Auther was a knocking at my door. We discussed lots of things that happened during the week. Mostly about the grandkids and how smart they are and beautiful, and how different they are from each other and thats good. Of course we watched our local news and weather, then Fox. Im writing another letter to cousin on Scotts Ridge see if I can conger up at least a 25 pager. Thick and juicy. Still reading Under Fire, need to get er done. Im going to do lunch the one I was going to do for supper 2 days ago. Toast, with sausage gravy, pork and beans and fried taters. Had the potatos sliced and in water in frig for 2 days pulls the starch and they fry up better and crisper. The winds were blowing and trees swaying and the old house was singing and moaning. My stove is filling up with ashes and needs a cleaning but will have to wait till it warms up. We watched some movies on the dish and some programs. We caught the Colonial Chief he cooks 18th century open fireplace cooking and he does a fine job all his dishes are from their original recipes, Mt. Vernon, and Monticello, they look good and it is interesting. We saw the Antique Road Show one of our favorites. This Old House, and Ask This Old House. While I was doing lunch frying the potatos and nuking the beans and sausage gravy, Mary Laughlin came by and brought soup and baked bread and cookies for the seniors from the Community Presbyterian Church its a mission they do for older members. I remember the 1st time they brought it when I turned 65 and was so surprised when they showed up and a little taken aback at being a senior, I had forgot I was one. I remember when I was 55 and went into the McDonalds across from the place I worked on Dixie Hwy, and this young lady working the counter gave me a senior discount. Well I didnt know weather to be happy with the discount or upset at being labeled a senior at 50. Of course I took the discount and departed happy but sad. a double your pleasure and pain thing. Well I finished the lunch and it was delicious and everything turned out right. Supper will be vegetable soup from church and we had 6 cookies also we munched all day. I have been washing my hands al week and they have turned hard dry and not pretty and sore I need some lotion. We were pretty much getting cabin fever and wanting to get away and have a play day or something like a play day. We have not been on one in a while. Well when the weather clears up we are off to some place to play. No body came by except Mary and we were all alone all day so we are here and in our places, Seleney Girl on the couch and me reclining in my recliner. And its that time again yes jammy time it comes every night at about that time, flannel would be good or long johns. Temp. are dropping again and the cold is still around and will be for a while so tonight 2 dog nite and 3 cats, quilts for sure and a feather tick if you can find one. So be sure to be good to one another, pray for all, and remember God is good. AMEN. Well thats about all for out here on ole 39 now Co. Rd. 160, at Lonesome Cedar S Curve on Soggy Bottom Dr. now frozen, and all the ruts that look like the Grand Canyon filled up and solid ice.
