Ok preparing for the Settlers Day Parade later today. All the food is made & everything is ready for everyone to come here and enjoy after the parade!!! Went to the Saturday night on Main street, it was awful.. There was no one there, there was only one band, years past we had 3. We used to have the gun fights thats no more. There were less vendors than ever!!! No Barbershop Quartets...I was just plain awful and there were a lot less people there than in years past. What has Marengo done that has created so much less participation?? But the people with the dogs showed up....Good Lord, why do people bring their dogs to an event where there are so many people milling around?? Leave the dog home!!! Even the Parade is smaller than it used to be & I understand that is because Marengo now charges some sort of fee to even be in the parade. Then there was the complaints about the horses...apparently some people were offended that they poop.......WHAT???? So I guess the newer generation just doesnt seem to find the fun in things that we did!!! If it doesnt ring, or text I guess it cant be fun!!! Ok so now I expressed my opinion and after all the cooking I gotta have a nap..........night all!!!!
