Ok, pretty interesting story. Anybody who knows anything about the Pacific Northwest knows they dont have hurricanes or tornadoes, but are in a major tsunami zone. So, just a minute ago I was rocked out of bed by what sounded like a tornado siren from hell; my first thought was oh crap, wheres my life jacket?!. Well it turns out the volunteer fire department still uses the siren method of alerting their members of a fire. Pretty cool to watch the guys actually run on foot to the FD to get enroute. Good response time too.
