Ok… so…. Dr Pelican On Holiday! finally comes out tomorrow… - TopicsExpress

Ok… so…. Dr Pelican On Holiday! finally comes out tomorrow… and I just wanted to take a second to introduce the album and say some thankyou’s. So many people have helped in ways large and small to help this record come to fruition, too many to name everyone individually. But let me just say thank you to any one who has come to a show, bought an album, shared a post, made a film clip (thanks Alex Mann!) or just been a friend and supporter since I started making music. Words can’t express how much it means to me. There are a few people I’d like to thank specifically though. Dave Manton! Dave produced and played on the record. Thanks so much for your patience and support throughout this recording. There’s a lot of you on this album mate and I’m not just talking about your playing. If there’s a better producer in the country I haven’t heard their work. Thanks so much for all your hard work and friendship… and if you need me to apologise to your lovely wife again, for taking up so much of your time, just say the word! Mark Eatock! Mark is my manager and has been a constant supporter of my music since he discovered a lil’ band called Epicure in Ballarat more than 15 years ago. I’ve been in the industry long enough to know how rare it is to have someone stick by you and believe in you for such an extended period. And he’s done so even though we rarely agree on anything and I frustrate him to no end! You’re one of the good ones mate. This album would not exist without you. Yuko Nishiyama, Brendan Skinner and Steven Clifford! Thanks so much for being so generous with your time and talent. I asked you guys to sing and play on the album because I’m a fan. A BIG fan. You’re all incredible musicians and I’m incredibly humbled to have had you play on my album. Dave Anderson! For helping me out with all things website and computer-ish. And being such a good friend to Epicure and myself. Thanks mate. And finally Bonnie. For doing ALL the artwork. For putting me back together every time I fell apart. Thank you. That’s it folks… I really hope you enjoy the album… cheers, Juan xx
