Ok, so Evo! Wow, where to start? I guess as a fellow TO and lover of the game, I just want to thank Str Kuroppi, Brian Grissom, Eugene Lin, Karl Wickman, Chris Hatala, Terry Cox, Bernie, the commentators, the players, the Evo staff and the many others who were part of an amazing tournament. There are far too many people to list and I dont want to miss any out, so Ill just leave it as many others, but dont think for a second that means they are any less important! You all did an amazing job and it certainly lived up to the name Tournament of Legends! We got to see some of the amazing Japanese players we so often look to in match videos, we had a USA OGs vs not-so-OG match in X-Mania USA, we saw some great lesser known players showing what they are made of, some dream matchups that otherwise would probably have never happened, Maos sense of humour and we even saw Damdai and Afrolegends working together?!? As I was watching the X-Mania USA top 8 I was just thinking to myself, This is pure fanservice for an ST player! This was a great tribute for the 20th anniversary of ST, and I am proud to have been a part of it, even if it was just a little part! Thank you Kuroppi for giving me the chance to run a qualifier for the Tournament of Legends, and thank you Joseph Govinden and Richard Yaxley for flying out there and representing the UK! Being able to run a tournament for a game you love for your friends and others who share your love of the game - especially on the 20th anniversary was a huge honour. I was very proud to have been able to run the IIX 20th Anniversary, and I cant imagine what it must feel like to be involved with something the scale of ToL and X-Mania USA. Kuroppi, I hope you have a nice break after this man - dont burn yourself out! Thank you everyone for an amazing event, for keeping ST strong and for all the other little things you do.
