Ok… so I am sitting at work, doing the afterschool program, and I my cell phone rings, mind you in the basement of the church I never get a signal. My phone rings and its the social worker in Coney Island hospital asking me if I know a PB, and I tell her yes hes my brother. She then proceeded to tell me he had been there since last Friday. He had been brought to the hospital by 2,women(God bless them) who had witnessed him getting hit by a 2 men on a motorcycle, who knocked him into a pole and then proceeded to rob him stealing his wallet and leaving him on the street in broad daylight to die! Again thank God for those 2 women who went to check on him, and when he became conscious, asked if he was ok, when they saw how disoriented he was they put him in the back of their car and took him to the hospital. While he sat there from noon until saturday morning, a Dr that had seen him the night before was surprised to see him still there. The asked him who he was and he didnt know. They then took him up for a cat scan and saw the swelling and admitted him. Needless to say, He had NO idea who he was. From Saturday until this thursday they were calling him nebraska! It was only because he had a defribillator in his chest from his 3 heart attacks and his open heart surgery, did they check the serial number to find out who he was. Needless to say when I went to see him last night and he didnt know me at all, my heart was hurt, I had taken pictures for him to look at and when he saw our mother and grandmother and asked where they were, (they had long ago passed away) he sobbed like they just died, he broke my heart yet again when he kept saying, your my sister? Im not alone? I have babies? Thats my Father? I had to keep it together. I thank God that he is alive as we are trying to get reaquainted, and show him pictures that he is not alone. The fact that the lack of regard for human life is appalling, I know the word of God for tells this, but one can only hope that all is not lost. I am praying for the two men that did this, but God had his back and sent him 2 Angels to minister to him when they did. And praising God for allowing a signal to allow my phone to ring. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!
