Ok, so I finally decided to watch this video that is being shared all over Facebook. It bothers me because this art piece/social experiment (sponsored by a company that makes gum) is super flawed. All of the twins who are not chewing gum look vacant and inhuman. If they were having conversations with people or doing anything other than just sitting there, the data would probably be different. I think people who chew gum in an everyday setting look smug or rude. We just respond better to people who appear more human, which means the gum chewing twins, who are actually moving and therefore acting more human, will of course appear more positive. But I suppose the gum company still wins, since Im still sharing it on Facebook. Stupid gum.
