Ok, so I get a call from an placement agency for a contract gig at a good company. They ask if Ive got samples on line. Obviously theyve never been to any of my sites. Ive got tons of examples on my webpage, my Pinterest site, my blog, and several other sites. Some of them are newer and more up to date than the others but I try to keep them as current as possible (Except for my website which needs a complete over haul)… heres the problem. I get a call from the agency and they say the client cant seem to find any work on my sites that show I know how to quickly sketch out story ideas… are you freaking kidding me??????!!! I kept asking them that perhaps they might need to be way more specific. I think they might be afraid of asking for a certain thing that they arent seeing. It always reminds me of a time when I over heard an art director at an advertising agency say… Yeah, he can draw an apple fine, but I dont see any oranges in his work. Can he even draw and orange?
