Ok, so I had this idea. When I was 5, my father died. Until I was 19 and in college, I was able to draw on my fathers social security. It wasnt a lot, but it helped pay the bills growing up. And, it made it so all that money that my father had paid in all those years wasnt just lost. Why couldnt they do the same thing for minor children of parents that pass away prematurely with regard to Medicare? Now, if there is private insurance, by all means, use that. But, Medicare was paid into for years, as opposed to Medicaid that was not. Let that child draw upon the parents Medicare until college age...
