Ok so I have lived in walkerville 90% of my life and believe in supporting local businesses wherever I can. Well after dealing with the car care service workshop at the engine garage in walkerville this week, my eyes have been open to how bad the customer service is from bisinesses in and around walkerville . I would warn anyone not to bother with the simply minded people at the car care workshop , if you could call it a workshop , more like backyard scrap mechanic. This was my experience ; took new parts for fitting , now when I say simple job any half decent mechanic could press wheel bearings , well so I thought. After paying the agreed amount the mechanic and the moronic owner said not more than 10 mins two and a half hours later I had brand new BRoKEN wheel bearing , i think this was due to them using a pipe bender instead of a bearing press. when I confronted the moronic owner about it he said o well you need to get more and come back . No offer of refund or even attempt to organise the parts at a better rate ( I would of seattled for what I paid for fitting, and writt en it off as lesson learnt) . People like this not only give local businesses a bad name but walkerville a stigma that it is just full of trash like them. If you need any work done on your car spend the extra money on petrol and drive into jhb or meyerton and go to someone that know what they are doing not these people that just dont. This is also for guys like dryden who think they are the only guys that do building supplies , remember YOUR NOT THE ONLY ONES, so try not piss off custmors that supported you before.
