Ok so I just watched diaz vs Condit twice in a row... mind you this is the unified rules for scoring... effective striking, effective grappling, aggression, and octagon (ring) control... Im not a Condit hater, Im actually a fan of his, bit how can you give him the fight? Round 1 and 2 much if the same thing, Condit back peddling being timid with his strikes. Diaz pushing the pace, being aggressive, controlling the center of the octagon. 3 and 4 more of the same thing except Condit was a lot more affective with his strikes, upped the volume, as well. Round 5 combination of the first 4 rounds and I personally had it even UNTIL the take down and Diaz took his back... looking at the scoring criteria I honestly dont understand how leg kicks out weigh being aggressive, controlling the pace and keeping the center of the octagon, while throwing more punches.... Like I said not a Carlos hater or a Diaz nuthugger, but this is one of those fights Ive never understood. Especially how 2 of the judges gave him the fight 4 rounds to 1?
