Ok so I need to vent, commenting on a news story post about a cafe, from a shop girls point of view, only to have some snity b!tch throw the whole shop girl snipe at me. Seriously? F@CK YOU. Yes I am a shop girl and you know what? I LOVE It, I love knowing what is happening in my town, getting to catch up with all the old regulars (and the young ones too!) having a job where I dont do the same thing every single day, Im not staring at the same wall and I get to work with some amazing people. Because you have to be pretty amazing to work in customer service, because so many people DO look down their nose at you and think they can treat you like crap. But more dont, more treat us like part of the family, they tell us their news both happy and sad, they come and see us when they lose their partner, or they have a new baby.... or dog, or Caravan! So next time youre out smile at your server! look at them as you order not at your phone, and if you ARE one of the judgmental better than you types, I dont hate you, I dont think about you at all unless it is to pity you for your lack of understanding that people are so much more than what they do.
