Ok so I was asked to translate a DNA CODE into a RNA CODE: DNA - TopicsExpress

Ok so I was asked to translate a DNA CODE into a RNA CODE: DNA CODE= 5-TAAGCTGTGCTGGCGATTAATTTATTTCGTTATAGGTCGTACATCTAT-3 OK keep in mind the bases for DNA are ATCG and the bases for RNA are ACGU. Now we also note that the hydrogen bonds between A & T= 2. C & G=3. so in translation to RNA it would be A & U = 2, and C & G = 3. The only difference in the two strands are Thymine and Uracil. So now lets translate or do the transcription. mRNA would be: 3-AUUCGAUGCACGACCGCUAAUUAAAUAAAGCAAUAUCAGCAUCUAGAUA-5 this is now translated into RNA sequence. To have more fun you actually spell a word with codon! this one spells NH2-MY DYNEIN-COOH DYNEIN is one of the transporters (motor proteins) that separate the daughter cells in the Anaphase step. lol nice
