Ok, so If I compare MDCPSs high insurance (OAP 10) with my wifes high insurance (becoming a domestic partner on her insurance) (which is actually much better insurance than MDCPS OAP 10). And if I include the $100 month that I get back from opting out of the insurance, My new insurance is $1400 per year cheaper that OAP 10. I think OAP 10 is a cash cow that MDCPS milks. I wonder if they run the cost of womens insurance up higher because the females insurance is responsible to also covers the baby for those who have babies for the first few months? And the fact that there are more women employees in the schools than in other sectors of the labor market. Or is MDCPS just milking their employees? I still think we need to go to a single payer system. Lets do it like Canada and Northern Europe.
