Ok, so Im having a horse related issue and need some help trying to resolve. We recently got a horse for my daughter. Her name is Penny and shes a 17 year old TW mare. Ever since we brought her home shes been really mean to my mare Tai. Tai is a 7 year old QH and not a dominant mare so isnt trying to challenge her or anything. Penny chases her away from food, bites her and pins her ears and snorts at her. This is really stressing Tai out. We are in the process of rehabbing her back foot from an abcess and this situation is not helping. I have separated them until I can find a solution. The only other option for me at this point is to rehome Penny. Id rather find a way to resolve the issue but will rehome her if I have to. Help! *I do want to mention that I have already been in contact with her previous owner regarding this behavior and shes as baffled as I am. She is just as committed to finding a solution as I am and is in the process of contacting her resources as well.
