Ok, so.....The night before Thanksgiving I had just started to make all of the goodies that I was taking to dinner at Pauls family, when I accidently spilled boiling water over my hand. Continuing to run cool water over my hand about every two to five minutes....I continued to cook and bake. Sleep was difficult, but made it through the night keeping an ice pack on my hand....didnt feel too bad on Thanksgiving, but did ice my hand. Friday was another story....starting to progress into pain more and more, swelling continued and redness turning dark. Ice packs (indirect) continue...so decided to go get an opinion at urgent care. Spoke with nurse, said not much they can do at this point, but continue to ice, lotion on non-blistered areas and antibiotic cream on blisters if they burst. Skin is tightening, but lotion feels good. Being very careful not to break blisters, dont want to get infection. The reason I am writing this is not for myself, but to praise my husband, who has helped take care of me. He is such an amazing, caring, wonderful man. He is so helpful and generous with making sure I have everything I need and do things that need to be done. What more can a woman ask for? You are loved beyond words Paul Martens! I appreciate you!!!
