Ok, so a little history on Tracker. First off, we arent sure of his age. He could be between 5and 6 weeks is what I think but Im waiting on Regina to get me an estimate. Tracker came to us traumatized both physically and mentally and feral. A raccoon attacked him and got ahold of Trackers tail and possible parts of his back feet. That being said hes afraid of just about everything. He clings to me when I pick him up like he thinks hes going to fall. Wraps around my arm or whatever he can grab ahold of like a monkey would hold tight. I cant imagine why he does that. Being attacked by a raccoon is going to make the socializing that much harder. He was emaciated (litterally all bone) and wormy and flea ridden when we received him. His tail had two very large ring bumps where the coon got ahold of him. Regina started the care and I will continue it in hopes that we can save his tail. It is a possiblity that part of the tail will drop off. He had horrible upper respiratory as well when brought to us. This morning I started our first treatment on his tail and feets and you can see that on the stream. (continued from Reginas treatments) I will be doing socialization session with him 2-3 times a day in the bathroom after today. I want him to get used to his surroundings for now though. I have begun the baby chickenfood sessions with him in the Penthouse and it seems to be working :) He will not be out of the penthouse for at least a few days till I am comfortable he will not run from me when I go to get him.
