Ok so after being 17 days late Delaney finally was ready to make her entrance into the world. After my water broke and 17 hours of labor and not making much progress I finally said yes to the epidural. Then after another 16 hours of labor I started to push. After pushing for 3 hours and 45 minutes, (the last hour with no epidural or meds) totaling at 37 hours of labor I was told because of the babies position and giving my best efforts I unfortunately wouldnt be able to push any longer and needed to go in for an emergency c-section. I balled my eyes out as I signed the consent form and the most amazing group of nurses and midwives had tears in there eyes for me because they knew what I did to try to avoid that. One nurse was so amazing she was off her shift, went and punched out then suited up and went into the OR with Adam and I for the surgery. Love this woman now. Thankfully she was there because halfway thru the section I could feel everything and she was the one who had everything stopped and they knocked me out to finish the rest. Nothing like feeling your organs be pushed back inside of you. Although this all was everything I didnt want to happen, I am happy I gave it my all and will have no regrets, but I cant say that Im not a bit crushed that I didnt get to cross the finish line how I had hoped and now after the longest message ever without further a do Miss Delaney Grace ;)
