Ok, so catching up on my December 18th sponsor feature, heres Zephyr, the handsome brother of Lucky and Fey (featured here Dec. 15th-16th). Zephyr has the genes of his kitty daddy Bruce and where temperament is concerned, they truly cant run from their family relation. Zephyr has been around for 3 1/2 years (born in the wild) and in spite of being neutered he is fiercely territorial and permanently covered in scabs and wounds and has had countless antibiotic treatments for abscesses from bite wounds. He recently had to have an antibiotic shot and the vet told me that Zephyrs skin was very thick and leathery... no wonder with the countless times hes been on the receiving end of bites and scratches in his neck! And yet, the funny thing is that Zephyr is actually good as gold and a very friendly cat! But he does manage to run up a bit of a bill where antibiotics is concerned! I have tried to encourage Zephyr towards a more indoor life trying to keep him away form fighting but his instinct is more for the outdoor and semi-feral life. I know you cant call all males an alpha male but for Zephyr this is a true description. He is a big handsome tabby and commands respect.
