Hope you enjoy the write. :D Thanks for reading. ~ Dona KEEP SAKE No longer as it once had been I reminisce of times back when She spent hours at my side With untold secrets to confide “Dear, Diary” her pen would scribe About events of days gone by Happy moments, ranted rages All confessed upon my pages How the journey has been long Many lessons of right and wrong She overcame, surpassed her fears Ink-smeared drops from fallen tears I hold each day under lock and key Protecting all she’s shared with me A young woman, her fighting chance The big bad wolf and failed romance Days of sickness and of rain Children’s mischief, pointing blame Summer sun, amusement parks Joy and laughter in their hearts Cool night breeze beneath the moon Holding hands and singing tunes Shooting stars she’s wished upon How time flies, too fast it’s gone Darkened hours have reigned here too “Dear, Diary: I’m feeling blue” Everything that lies, here, within Has made me special to her, my friend © by Dona Lea 2013
