Ok, so, in the midst of butter thoughts, I was thinking about my own leadership. Today I read that in a room full of CEO’s, they were asked to write down their biggest fears or worries...anonymously. Most of them said that they worried about being a fraud that they weren’t enough, that they somehow fooled others, that they were not worthy. I feel worthy as a human. That said, sometimes I wonder if I’m worthy of all these praises of leadership. I mean, I really have SO MUCH TO LEARN. I’ve made so many dumb mistakes. But I can honestly say: I’m committed to growing and to continuing my learning. I want the best for my team and in that sense, I do what I can to live by example. Deepak Chopra said we do things from our limited sense of awareness. Whatever I’ve done in the past is just a reflection of where I was. This year has been really great in the sense that I realized what I needed to do differently AND I have been showing up differently.
