Ok so most people know I really hate to go to the ER heck I hate going to That Hospital at all. But last night I had had enough pain and pressure that it was time to go. So we arrive and I tell the receptionist that I need to see someone because I have shortness of breathe and chest pains she says have a seat someone will be out soon.there a girl ahead of you so I sit down and wait. my wife had enough time to drop me at the door, park the car in the parking lot and come in and sit before a nurse comes out and says well theres 2 of you waiting so I suppose we will take the chest pain first. at this point I again shown by the response of the staff just another reason I hate this ER. But then they get a real awaking on how their routine slow paced can really go from boring to CRAZY in a sec. Because apparently I stood up and with my amazing wife trying to help me and a lil 120lbs nurse trying to steady me I pass out and according to eyewitness accounts A big man like me falls like a sack of bricks, fast and hard. and the fun began lol. Because the next thing I know there is alot of yelling and people in my face. But the wife said when I went down the nurse called for help and the er breakroom cleared. People running, shouting, some poor soul dragging a crash cart, security guy with a gurney, and I missed it all cause I was out light a blowed lightbulb. The only one that didnt panic was my Amazing wife who broke my fall and feels it this morning. after 5 hours of testing and blood work we make it home with a list of things my doctor and the heart doctors want to do this week but no worries there. guess the moral of this long story is to show just how a staff of medical professionals with my records and the fact having been to that facility so many times over the years because of my health issues and I am also a Marfans patient had no clue what was going on. They really need more Marfans Education there.
