Ok, so much on my mind. The past week and a half or so has been the happiest time of my life. First, the day before the wedding I had a great bachelor party led (blindfolded) by my best man and brother, Connor Grant Lyons, to a fierce laser tag battle downtown with some of my best friends. Then the night we had been waiting for, our wedding night. People kept asking me, Are you nervous? but I wasnt nervous or scared at all, just anxious and excited to see my beautiful bride walk down the isle. When that finally happened I was so verklempt (had to use that word) I couldnt contain it. Everything went so well and It was such a beautiful night surrounded by our favorite people in the world. We had a better turn out that we originally expected. Gina and I were both so honored and grateful for everyone that came. A special thanks to those of you who participated in the wedding. Thank you to Joshua Gull, Will Rhodes and their assistants for capturing the night for us to reflect on for the rest of our lives. I cant wait to see your beautiful work when its ready. Thank you Bryant Lowry for rocking the reception and bringing the fun(k)! Thank you to Connor and Mary Wells for being by our sides on our big day. And of course a very special thank you to our loving and supportive parents, Bill Lyons, Amber Buckley Lyons, Lillian and Dave DePrimo, for helping plan the wedding and making our night unforgettable. Thank you to those of you who couldnt make it, but sent their love and support with gifts and well-wishes. Again, Im just so grateful to everyone who came to show their support. Im so glad I got to share the happiest day of my life with so many of my friends and family. I love you all! The cherry on top of our perfect night was our luxurious stay at the Gaylord Hotel setup by my loving mother. The next day our honeymoon (generously provided my supportive father) officially began. Scotland has been on my bucket list ever since I was young (ever since I saw Braveheart, really) and it was every bit as spectacular as I dreamed it would be. We explored castles, enjoyed authentic Scottish cuisine (veg haggis!), hiked through the beauty of Scotland with all of its grand views, laughed at some flopping seals, competed in an archery contest, split cards with throwing axes (Gina bested me there) and climbed the 246 steps of the spiral staircase to the top of the William Wallace Monument. While Scotland itself was incredible, the best part about was having Gina Lyons, my love and my WIFE, to share it with (Im so happy I can officially call her my wife now). When we got back last night I happily carried her over the threshold into OUR house. The past week and a half or so have been fantastic, but now its time to start real married life...my favorite part :)
