Ok, so this first appeared on my news feed about 3 weeks ago. If you were a big fan of Led Zeppelins Stairway to Heaven back in the day ( and just who doesnt remember dancing to it at school dances?) you had a strong relationship and kinship with this song, arguably LZs greatest hit ever, (OK, OK, Kashmir, aka the theme from Godzilla, rocks the house too!) PLUS what red blooded American boy didnt swoon occasionally at Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart? Well, in 2012 Led Zeppelin was honored by the Kennedy Center in Washington. Ann and Nancy sings an unreal, heart fluttering ( NO pun intended) rendition of Stairway to Heaven as a tribute to LZ. I must have watched this 100 or more times since then, youtubing it every single day since it first appeared on my page. If you loved Stairway to Heaven/Led Zeppelin/Ann and Nancy and Heart/, you will LOVE this moving version of the song. Surviving LZ members Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones with former LZs drummer, Jon Bonhams son, Jason on the drums ( google all this circle). Except for the brief but sickening communistic/Islamic intrusion @ 3:38, this rendition absolutely is stunning, made ever so more so by the cameras capturing the bands reactions. Unreal is my adjective for it! One special note to any tough guys out there : You may want to watch this in a very dusty room while peeling strong onions while suffering from severe nasal allergies or else you very well may end up like Robert Plant ( and, uhhhh, I) did - struggling to hold em back - and failing. crank up the head phones and volume!
