Ok so this happened today, and Im hoping everyone will have more common sense than these people, BUT people are stupid. Walking back to the flower shop, from the library on the Square, I passed two girls, 13 tops and a maybe four year old girl playing on the swings. Then an SUV with a man and woman in it pulled up to the curb by the swings, rolled down the window and asked the girls for directions to Wal-Mart. I stood, and watched and listened to the girls give vague, 13 year old girl directions to Wal-Mart. Thankfully they stayed put and didnt approach the car. PEOPLE!! I dont care how lost you are, or how innocent your intentions, it is NEVER appropriate to ask kids, playing by themselves, directions to anywhere. Especially when youre on the middle of a very bustling square block surrounded by businesses, banks, a pharmacy and restaurants . I honestly dont think they meant any harm, but STILL. Use your brain guys. Regardless of your intentions, you may have scared the hell out of those kids. So just dont, ok?
