Ok , so this is actually good things happening to good people. When I signed with ICM a long , long time ago (98) I was new to fiercely competitive LA and intimidated . One of the first actors to be nice to me at the agency and actually invite me to hang out socially was David Gray. Years later when Miranda was 4ish and I was early into being single dad I would bring Miranda with me to audition. David Would hang with her when I went in to read copy . He was truly fascinated by her knowledge of the ocean and Science and would tell me what he learned when I came out of the booth .Miranda was impressed because David for lots if reasons and that he had completely memerized and could recite Yertle The Turtle . I could tell he was going to be a good dad even back then. I dont really go to the theatre often but I went to see David in a couple productions because I knew he would be worth watching. He was. Ive watched him grow as a performer and into a great dad of 2 beautiful girls of his own in the last several years. Though its been a 10 year endevour for he and Shanelle Ive watched Gray Studios really blow up in the last three years. I honestly couldnt be happier for David , Shanelle & Aerial. I dont do lots of huge endorsements but I will tell you this , David is a tornado of talent, intensity energy and knowledge . I dont know what makes a star, if someone says they do they are either lying, an agent or likely both but I do believe David and his crew can give your kid , teen or really anybody with the passion for it , the skill set needed to be an solid actor. And that is the gold standard for working in this industry. One can only control what one can control in this business and you can control what you learn and from who. I dont own stock in the company and I dont work for them....I just know them to be great people, talented people and Im super stoked that Gray Studios is getting the heat it deserves!
