Ok, so this is where it all started last night with me making a lovely soup and shouting about my fab soup maker. Never again will I use the hob to make soup. I never actually thought I would say that! This is my SPICED CARROT SOUP. Ingredients are:- A bag of carrots x2 veggie stock cubes x2 fresh chillis - never used these before but they where cheap so thought I would try them. They worked well if you like a bit of heat. Salt Pepper Pinch of ground coriander - just because I like it. Large teaspoon of thai green curry paste as it works so well in soups and a couple of things that are not on the picture as I have run out - A small onion and a tiny clove of garlic as that was at the bottom of the fridge! My daughter sauted the onion and garlic in a tiny bit of oil. It is very safe for kids to help out. I then turn the saute function off to add the rest of the ingredients. The carrots where chopped in large chunks and chucked in along with all the seasoning. I am a lazy cook. I filled with water up to the top level on my Morphy Richards - dont ever fill. I did first time and it would not work properly and was a disaster. Finally, I added 2x stock cubes and popped on the lid. We like smooth soup so selected that and bingo just over 20 minutes later we had delicious spiced carrot soup! At the end of the process you can taste to check seasoning and then just give it another blitz with the blend function. Mega healthy and only using the slightest bit of olive oil to saute. Silly cheap as well and one worth trying. Happy Souping everyone!
