Ok, so today I tried cooking something in the Pressure Cooker for the first time....Chinese Black Rice, also called Forbidden Rice. Without checking for a recipe, I cooked it the way I would cook the Basmati rice that I always cook in the pressure cooker...4-5 minutes for perfect rice everytime......well not so with this rice. I cooked for 5 and let the pressure come down on its own and when I opened it there was still standing water and the rice was still hard. I closed it and turned it on again for another 3 minutes and did the same again and still no go.....once more for another 5 minutes and finally it was done, so I did what I should have done to begin with, I looked online for a recipe and it says cook for 20 minutes.
