Ok so what Im about to post is going to be controversial just because different people feel different ways about this subject, but I have so many friends and family that I love it is hard for me to keep in touch with all of you all the time. I made a pretty life changing decision about 6 months ago and am now just 3 days away from the actual event and am extremely nervous, but more hopeful & excited. I am having weight loss surgery (WLS) in Bangor on Friday. Those of you that know me well know I have struggled with my weight for at least 20 years. I dont want to go through this in secret and just have weight falling off without being brutally honest. Some people think this is the easy way out. I assure you it is not. It is a tool to help me get healthy. I will still need to eat healthy and exercise this surgery will help me stay on track. I used to be totally against WLS, and for those of you that still are I say do your research, youtube is a wonderful tool. Those of you that have never struggled with weight to such an extreme extent probably wont understand. Either way I just ask that you all try to stay positive and supportive this has been a long road leading to this point. Im probably being slightly dramatic, but I take being put under anesthesia very seriously, and just want to ask that you guys send positive thoughts and prayers my way for Friday at 12:30. Anyway thanks in advance. Just a quick I love you to my close friends and family (you know who you are).
