Ok, so with all the speculation for the new series of Game of Thrones, Ive noticed a trend. Flashbacks. Lots and lots of flashbacks. So far, the best news of this is that we get to see characters who we dearly miss (and some we dont). For example, Charles Dance will reprise his role as Tywin Lannister in a flashback, but then a young Cersei has been cast for her flashback which should be...interesting? Im delighted with the news, as it means that the backstory, which I adore, will be explored in greater depth and we get to see the stories which get brought up in conversation a lot, sound epic but just dont materialise (the battle of the trident, you know you want to see it). Is it possible that some shocking new twists will be unveiled in the series through these flashbacks, as the series catch up with the books? Does anyone not like the idea of flashbacks?
