Ok, so, youve all seen the pics now of my AMAZING day!!! The last few days, Ive been SO tired this last week that I was NOT looking forward to today. Those of you that know me well, know I have issues with new people and places and in the last year its gotten even worse...I soooo wanted to cancel or call in sick! UGH! Didnt want to be ungrateful but the anxiety was stressing me out. Pushed through and WOW!!! I have never been more glad that I did something! We arrived to Starbucks coffee and Noahs bagels and orange juice! Then the make up artists introduced themselves and got started! Jodie, was a kindred spirit! I met SO many kindred spirits today. I CANNOT REMEMBER the last time my heart felt this full. We shared laughter and tears and more laughter :) (YA dont say) While I was getting make up, Miss Colette was my personal shopper and ran all around getting clothes for me together to try on! I knew for sure I wanted the sweater! It caught my eye the second we walked in the door! Dawn spent an hour dressing me and undressing me (no energy) finally we decided on the outfit!! $300 outfit for free :) I felt so pretty for the first time in years!! All my sass came right back w it ;) Then there were gift card give aways and between Dawn & I we won THREE! Dawn was able to get the cutest outfit for the SFN concert tonight! There were 2 other beautiful ladies being honored today, also, now, new friends! Iris and Leeann!! Then, up came that awesome limo to whisk us and our friends away for a beautiful lunch in El dorado hills! Along came two MORE NEW friends!! Tammy, the manager of this Lane Bryant and Janelle, representing American Cancer Society!!! You saw the food! OMG to die for!!! I have to say how great it was to share our stories, share in so much glam and humor and tears with this group of ladies today! Leeann & I were talking today and we both agreed that Cancer is THE BIGGEST BLESSING weve ever had. Things like today wouldnt have happened without this...I would not have met ALL of these amazing women...to sum up my day...WOW...just WOW! I am blessed beyond measure and not because of the value of the gifts either...the blessings I received today far outweigh any monetary value!! I hope you all get the chance....to live like you were dying!!! ❤️
