Ok......starting the year out with a mini rant.... When you or your child are sick, why in the world do you not stay home and get well? We had someone in the shop yesterday that I literally wanted to smack the hell out of. She had around a 4 year old child with her that was so obviously sick, he was so congested he was miserable and coughing so hard that every few minutes he was throwing up from coughing. She would hold her hand in front of him and eventually her other childs coat to catch it. Then cart him to the bathroom, where he would spend the next few minutes puking. WTF? With this nasty flu or cold or virus or whatever it is going around, it could literally be a matter of life or death for you to stay home. In this situation, the child needed to be home resting and out of the weather and the other germs floating around. Children are actually dying with this stuff. And another big point for me is this, everywhere he went, he left germs for the next person in that area to pick up. Now this may not mean anything to anyone, but the next person could be another child, a baby, an elderly person, or someone that has some other reason for low immunity. If an elderly person catches one of these nasty viruses going around, they wont survive. I really dont think there is any reason to go out of your house if not to the doctor or hospital. I stayed home extra time, not only because I couldnt eat and had no energy, but because I didnt want to spread this around. I dont want my parents catching something like this. If you think I didnt need to work, youre stupid, but I needed to be healthy worse than I needed the money. When you are sick, keep your butt home until you are better, especially until you are not contagious. Think of this as your Country Girl Public Service Announcement......have a great day!
