Ok, status update!! Long story short, date on the puppy passport did not match date on USDA paperwork so they were going to send the pups BACK to USA :( Spent HOURS on pay phone yesterday trying to find a solution (new cell phone did not work here :( ) Around 2:am it seamed like a hopeless solution, so we decided to go ahead and drive to Rottweil as the kids were exhausted and frustrated and we had the hotel here reserved and paid for. It was a very hopeless feeling :( With all the stops it takes for 4 kids + Geneva, it took us about 9 hours to get to Rottweil. THANK GOODNESS they decided to go ahead an release the puppies, and now my gracious husband is driving BACK to AMSTERDAM with Tahlia to pick them up and then driving BACK here to Rottweil- probably getting back tomorrow evening. Between all the airline drama in getting the pups booked and now all of this- it has certainly been a trip for the books, but God willing, by this time tomorrow, the entire Velasquez family will be where they should and quite frankly, with the amount of effort put in by everyone JUST TO SHOW UP at KLUBSIEGER, I am happy with LAST PLACE as long as we are there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *whew* Thank you all SOOOOOOOOO much for your prayers and support. I was so devastated this morning, I honestly just wanted to get on a plane and go home. It is truly a helpless feeling when something like this happens in a foreign country and there is absolutely nothing you can do :( Something so simple as a clerical error... still shaking and not really going to breathe until I get word from Miguel that he has both pups in hand- actually, probably not until I have them both in hand.
