Ok the second thing that must be manipulated during peak week is carbohydrates. We have systematically been lowering her intake of carbs throughout the week for two reasons. One, to help peel off any last bit of fat we can and two, to begin depleting her stores of carbs. Carbs are stored for the most part in the muscles but a portion is in the liver and a small amount is in the blood as well. The majority resides in the muscles though. Remember I said in the last post that water follows carbs? So, by lowering them slowly and drowning her in water, her body is a peeing machine. Slowly on Friday we will introduce small bits of carb and fat in the way of whole eggs and a small amount of nuts with her meal while still pounding water. At 6pm water stops but she keeps peeing. Still with me? In the am Saturday morning we will allow her one meal with good, low glycemic carbs and a small portion of coffee with cream and sugar(which she is very happy about). Come morning, she will be mostly dry as she will have overshot and peed out most of the water. Whatever water remains will go through the bodies hiarchy discussed before. Because we fed her some carbs, which will go straight for her muscles, water will follow filling out the muscle bellies creating a look of more fullness. The rest will go to the blood vessels to maintain blood pressure leaving little to none under the skin. She is also taking some natural diuretics like dandelion root and Xpel to help turn on more peeing to rid the body of excess water. One more day...1L of water to finish tonight and 7L tomorrow:)
