Ok then heres is my response, first of all you must understand what prayer is and the more than one or two purposes we generally go to GOD, in prayer for, one being, GOD help me out in the time of my troubles, two, GOD please give me this or that, or do this or that for me. NOW he does do those things. However the purpose of prayer it this, let me add this, the other word for prayer is communication. We should go to GOD In communication to not only tell him our troubles, but to seek to be united with Him, seek to be empowered by HIM, and seek to do his will, by asking GOD to strengthen all the areas we know we fall short in,like the lack of desire we often have to be obedient to what we do know and fully understand, yet just choose not to do it. So with a sincere heart ask for that , obedience. PLEASE understand that JESUS left us an example, and yet followed that example himself. it is through obedience that all our prayers or communication session with the Father will be heard and answered. LOOK the more time you spend with your man or woman, communicating honestly, you become closer. Its works with GOD that same way. By being obedient we then have the clear path to go to GOD with confidence , and ask Him what we will in The name of JESUS, and it shall be done. This path and or formula has been working for myself and others for thousands of years and will not change. Again I say that time is our most valuable asset how we spend it and where we spend it is our GOD given choice, so choose wisely. Remember that with GOD on your side and you walking in obedience with Him nothing is impossible for GOD, for The WORDS says, that I or we can do all things with GOD who is our strength. Ive trusted in many things and many people too, and was let down, or disappointed. The WORD of GOD is the only thing that has never let me down. I highly recommend giving the word a try for yourself , just ask GOD to teach you his way of doing and understanding things, I ASSURE you, that you will not be disappointed in anyway.
