Ok there is a lot of confusion about why I can eat up to 2500 calories a day and steadily lose weight. I dont eat 2500 calories every single day. Some days I surpass that amount and on other days I go under. Ok besides working out every day I have been eating raw most of the time apart from Sundays. Raw fruit especially digests the fastest so my body doesnt absorb all the calories. Also, there arent other foods clogging up my system (like cooked foods), so my colon is clean. If I were to eat processed foods or cooked foods, it would take much longer to digest, so therefore I have to limit my calorie intake when eating those foods. For example, a banana takes about 4 hours and 15 minutes to leave the stomach entirely, whereas a hamburger takes 24 to 72 hours to fully digest. It makes sense. Its simple science. But if I ate a heap of raw nuts, I would easily gain weight too because they are loaded with fat and again take longer to digest. Smoothies also digest quickly so I eat a HUGE amount of vegetables in my smoothies and my protein powder has many additional nutrients needed for a raw vegan lifestyle. This might not be ideal for everyone but you cant knock it until youve done the research and have adapted the WHOLE lifestyle yourself. Its not a diet, veganism is a lifestyle. This is the protein powder/raw meal I get. Its organic and really amazing :D
