Ok, they have half of a good list, then they pad it with a bunch of stuff that didnt change anything except sales records and Hollywood careers. Nothing wrong with Hunger Games, but Dhalgren it is certainly not, and putting it in at the loss of all of Phillip K. Dicks catalog is pretty laughable. Yes, I know PKD hated Dhalren, but his work still is comparable to Samuel Delanys in impact. Heres my list (which leans pretty heavy to the SF direction and is very limited by what I have personally read). I did try to take historical and influential importance into consideration though. 1) VALIS - Phillip K. Dick 2) Dhalgren - Samuel R. Delany 3) Stranger in a Strange Land - Robert Heinlein 4) Solaris - Stanisław Lem 5) The Stars My Destination - Alfred Bester 6) The Time Machine - H.G. Wells 7) J.G. Ballard - Crash 8) Neuromancer - William Gibson 9) Lord of Light - Roger Zelazny 10) The Dispossessed - Ursula K Leguin 11) Michael Moorcock - Behold the Man 12) The Caves of Steel - Isaac Asimov 13) Ringworld - Larry Niven 14) Cyteen - Cj Cherryh 15) At the Mountains of Madness - H.P. Lovecraft 16) The Parable of the Sower - Octavia Butler 17) The Illuminatus! Trilogy - Robert Shea & Robert Anton Wilson 18) Startide Rising - David Brin 19) The City and The City - China Miéville 20) Revelation Space - Alastair Reynolds 21) Queen City Jazz - Kathleen Ann Goonan
