Ok this is for everyone. Life is incredible. I have many reasons to be thankful this Christmas. I am with the sweetest most caring woman that I have ever even known. She is truly my best friend. I have survived a horrible mind boggling accident, which definitely brought me closer to God because he is the only way that I survived. Doctors assured my parents I wouldnt live, but God had other ideas. Not only did I live, but I defied the odds and learned to walk, talk, and think again. Yeah, I had many problems along the way, but I dont even want to talk about them all. I have just been cured of one of the worst problems to come from my accident! As most of you know, I contracted Hep C from a blood transfusion while in a coma in 1984. Doctors said I was not a candidate for the treatments they had available before because one of the side effects was possible blindness in an eye. Since I only have one eye, doctors said no way. Not to worry, the doctors assured me, because the Hep C wouldnt affect me until later in life. Well, it nailed me hard in the last year, and I am only 47. I went to the doctor in September to see if there were any new treatments, and I found out that they had just come up with a pill that should be able to cure me of the Hep C. God was watching out for me again. Im sure of it. On December 22nd, I learned there is no trace of the Hep C in my blood anymore! So even though I dont have a lot of gifts for Christmas, I have been given another amazing gift from God: The gift of a normal, happy life. Im so excited! Life is incredible again. Thank you everyone who has cared and still cares for me. You know who you are! I love you and thank you. Most of all I thank God. Because of him, I am here and I have a plan for my life.
