Ok this is kinda old news but I can now sit and think about what I need to say and not hurt anyones feelings... So about a month ago there was a flyer going around FB about horses that were stolen from meeker... Ok well help me understand this!!! I had a friend that really got the raw end of the deal... Ok these so called horses were stolen out of a pasture (what around 10 of them?) Well thats a lot of horses to be stolen out of one pasture without anyone noticing a thing, well unless your one heck of a horse wrangler thats really risky to me... How can you go to a pasture catch 10 head? Then unless you have a really large trailer, thats going to take 2 loads? Just saying, maybe there are 10 horses out there that are going to let someone in the middle of the night come catch 10 head in the dark, load them up and haul them to ( now heres the biggest catch ) to the meeker sale... Note the same town they were stolen from... What fool would take 10 head to the same town that they stoled 10 head of horses from... So then a buyer comes and buys a horse then sales it to my friend which is not the buyers fault they bought it from the meeker sale... Well now my friend gets all the medical needs for this one particular horse... Vet bills, dentistry, chiropractor work all done on the horse. Sheriff shows up with (the owner) that again remind you was stolen from the same town it was sold in!! And then my friend basically got looked at from people in the boarding stables like a horse thief, where she bought the horse from a person that bought the horse (saved) from going to the kill buyers.... Hmmm cant really wrap my brain around that... Now my friend is out all that money. They just came to her barn picked up a horse that she feel in love with and now she has no horse out tons of money (which its really not about that) as much as it was she feels like someone needs to really check this out because she hates it that the horse never had any medical treatment for his (condition) and dang sure never had his teeth worked on... But the biggest hurt is now she is labeled the lady that had that stolen horse!!! That really sucks.. Well I think some other issues were involved that we dont really know about (but court records do)!!! No one in their right mind would never sale 10 head in The same town they were sold in!!! Really crazy!! On top of thats a herd and they whole herd would of had to of been some really dead broke horses to let someone come in the night time and catch them and load them... Because when you start rounding up horses and it only takes one to feel fear and bolts they all will bolt!! I could maybe see where 1 or 2 but not 10 head... Anyway thats my thought and I apologize if I have stepped on anyones toes but sounds really fishy to me... And that horse loved his new owners!!!! They never even thanked her!!! HUMMMM
