Ok, this is obviously biased in favor of one side, BUT, I think it does explain a lot of the reasons for the conflict. I obviously am not an expert, but it seems to me to be a somewhat simple situation, people not being able to share. From a purely logical perspective, if I just look at it as Group A and Group B, it seems that each group needs clearly defined borders, and autonomy within those borders. Im not for rockets fired by anyone, anyone who is hurt by either party is tragic. The clearest resolution is to divide resources and leave each other alone. The devil is in the details though, as both sides will think any division is unfair to them. Each side wants more. The problem exists because no one will use an objective metric to divide up a contested resource, they feel owed specific things. I think this conflict has been going on too long, any resolution, however unfair, is better than the current state of affairs. It is better to simply take what you get, and make the best of it, than to fight over it. Im speaking purely from a optimizing perspective...living in land you may get while enduring rockets for the unforeseeable future is worse than just building up what you have, in peace.
