Ok, this is post is (again) regarding the most discussed topic about air quality in the area.A week or so ago Nelly Sinclair mentioned here that Rosy Narula was invited to share the neighborhoods position about giving Dofasco another 5 years to comply with better air quality standards. Writting an e-mail to the MPP was discussed then. Then, a few days after that, the news about the acid leak when public and people seemed even more upset about it. It seems clear to me that for the whole community this is a big issue and Im wondering what steps can we take to make our voice and concerns heard loud and clear. Its being said to write e-mails to the MPP, I read some had contacted city councilor Sam Merulla abou this too, but Im wondering if theres some steps that we can take as a community to make our point clear and demand action. How about an on-line petition? Maybe an air qualityday rally? Im just throwing some ideas up in the air, hoping to open a way to present our ideas a community rather than individually.
