Ok this may not be allowed on hear and if so please by all means remove it. I need to rant for a few. I am so very sick of seeing all these puppies for sale. St. Clair county has a HUGE number of back yard breeders I see them for sale on all these swap sites and it makes me sick to my stomach. Our shelters are FULL! All the surrounding shelters are full! Our rescues are full and struggling to help as many as we can. I foster for 3 different local rescues and ALL of them are full! We have had as many as 5 fosters at a time in my house, just trying to help as many dogs as we possibly can. My family and I have seen first hand the damage done to these beautiful creatures and spent countless hours rehabilitating them and preparing them for their forever homes. This county puts dozens upon dozens of dogs to sleep each week! The rescues are all full and have to turn dogs away because we need more fosters. There are dogs freezing to death on the streets right now because we simply dont have the space!!??? Please stop with this back yard breeding nonsense!!!! I have heard ALL the excuses! Oh I want my kids to experience the birth...Rent a movie! It was and ACCIDENT! Get your friggen dog fixed! There are low cost spay and neuter clinics constantly and SNAP does low cost spay and neuters everyday! If you cannot afford to have a dog fixed than DO NOT GET A DOG!!! Or heres a good one! Everyone loves puppies...puppies chew on everything and potty in the house or they grow up and arent as cute and than guess what folks???? They get dumped in the shelters if they are lucky, if not they are dumped outside to fend for themselves and freeze to death! Wake up people!? This county is full of loving good dogs that would do anything for a warm place to sleep, a bowl of food and a couple cuddles. This is just plain selfish!! STOP THE BACK YARD BREEDING!!!!
