Ok this will be lengthy as I am finally opening up to everyone. A select few of family and friends knows what has been going on. I have been diagnosed with chordoma a very rare malignant tumor of the spine and sacrum ... It has to do with a defect in the notchcord in fetal development of the spine. I do not know all the answers yet but do know surgery is pretty much my only option as to chordomas do not respond to chemo and the amt of radiation needed the spine can not tolerate. They have to cut out a wide margin of healthy tissue to ensure they get it all without seeding and of course this is a very difficult area for a wide margin because of many nerves and colon, bladder and other organs that could be involved and may have damage or need to be removed also to get it all along with part or all of my sacrum bone . this type of malignant chordoma has a wide chance of metastasising in years to come in other parts of my body such as liver and lungs this will have to be watched with continuous checkups . . . while they r in there they will also do a lamindectomy and facetectomy from other spine issues I have from the spinal stenosis and bulging discs . I appreciate and need all prayers as this has been difficult and a shock to me and my family . I am a fighter I have overcome so many obstacles in life and this is just another obstacle I will over come . the Lord has always been with me and seen me thru and guided me . this is no different. My faith is strong and I know his will is the only way. It will take more than this to ever separate me from my kids . I will be here to see them thru many more stages of their life. I will fight and win for them!
