Ok time to rant and let my words spill onto the keyboard. This is about Zilla/1998 hate and the freaking grudge (I have ranted about this before but I saw something recently that made my blood boil), as some of you know I dont think the film is that bad and I like Zilla as a kaiju. Now I have had ENOUGH people try to ram into my head their pointless and stupid counterarguments like Oh! But its an INSULT to the franchise! or Zilla is such a crap monster he could lose at everything!, first off this isnt the first time the franchise has soiled itself: for example, Godzillas Revenge anyone? Hmmmmmmmmmmm? The franchise has its fair share of horrendously bad films. Now onto Zilla itself. I hate the arguments about the monster I really do it isnt that bad, once you treat it as its own monster its pretty cool and if given that chance and a fair fight it could probably hold its own in a fight against another monster. Now the freaking hate towards the film is ridiculous I once saw some people say the Yongary remake is better than the 1998 film and now thats where I call BULLSHIT. The Yongary remake is the first kaiju film where I had to stop half way through and walk away it was so bad, it wasnt even so bad its good! Its just plain horrific and the fact people compared it to the 1998 film is bullshit because 1998 actually had people who could act, was fun, had a good monster and is actually watchable. The Yongary remake is just plain horrendous. This rant happened because I am SICK of some of the stupid arguments this fandom shits out about the 1998 film, some of you out there have actually got pretty good arguments about it that I can agree with and some of you have your reasons like that it disappointed you when it came out. THAT I can understand but otherwise a majority of the fandom spouts out some pretty stupid arguments. ~Manda
